"It's always 2am somewhere"

One of my friends moved away recently.... she was known for saying that someone was one of her "2am friends" (meaning if she called at 2am they would not hang up). Before she left, I made this clock for her. I took apart the clockworks and redid the face to show only the number 2 (in various fonts). I then inserted the top image on the box lid. I like this because she can keep it on her desk and it only looks like a small wooden box when it is closed....when you open it, the personal part shows....the phrase is a take off of 'it's always 5 o'clock somewhere". I found the clock in a local hallmark store on sale. The actual clock swivels within the box.

Any clock can be modified to make it personal. As long as you can take it apart to change the face, you are good to go. If you cannot, you can add printed decals to the front (like I used for the sushi purse).
