inserting pic

I am trying to use the HP project "Heirloom photo cookbook" from the "Activity Center" (http://h10050.www1.hp.com/activitycenter/us/en/maker/heirloom_cookbook.html). When I get to the point I want to add a picture, I click on "Click here to add a photo" and all I get is a small directional box cursor in the "Click here to add a photo" box. Nothing comes up for downloading a pic nor does right click offer a "paste" function. I try the button "Replace Photo" and the "Click here to add a photo" box changes and the message: "Please wait while your photo uploads. If you decide to cancel the upload, please close the upload window and click the button below." Appears with a "Cancel Upload" button. How do I insert a pic here?
