A fast, fun project that even I can do ... (Really!)

My cat cube I'm a former journalist, so it's in my nature to be skeptical when someone says something is "fast, easy, and fun," especially when it relates to crafts. (I work for HP, but my sisters inherited all the craft, sewing, and art genes.) This is the real deal. It's so easy, even I couldn't mess it up.

I was browsing through the HP Wiki and saw the Craft Magazine Photo Cube project. After that, I was checking out the new cats and dogs to be added to our Pet Photos Gallery. What can I say, the proverbial light bulb went on over my head: Pets. Photos. Cubed. Why not create a Pet Photo Cube and see if it really is easy to make?

I visited Tabblo's Photo Cube: Have fun with your photos at home page. Between the Craft tutorial and Tabblo's instructions, I knew I needed 5 digital pet photos, inkjet photo paper, and scissors. (Full disclosure: Earlier this year, HP acquired Tabblo.)

Once I had photos selected and inkjet photo paper ready to go, I was literally finished in less than 15 minutes. I am not kidding.

Ta-da!

This Photo Cube now sits proudly on my desk ... right next to my Gwen Stefani Harajuku doll.

Go ahead. Take 15 minutes, and create your own pet photo cube. Show off your pet pride, and share your pet photo cube in our pet project gallery.

Dog people: Challenge the cat people! (And check out one of my favorite blogs: Dooce.)
Cat people: Your cats already think they're superior, so be sure to share some love!

Next up for me: a customized Pet Calendar from HP's Activity Center.
