Archiving Photo Tips

How to Store Digital Photos
Share your tips about storing digital photos and help protect some memories. We've started you off with a few of our favorite tricks, but now it's your turn.

Tips for Storing Digital Photos Stay Organized
Create a schedule for archiving your photos and stick to it. You might archive once a month or every 100 photos. Whatever schedule you choose, the task will be easier if you organize your photos into folders as you download them from your camera. And don't forget to print proof sheets so you know exactly where your photos are stored.
Tips for Storing Digital Photos Store on CD or DVD
Burning to disc might take longer than simply transferring data to a hard drive, but the extra copies will ensure your memories are safe. Protect yourself against deterioration with a high-quality CD or DVD from a manufacturer you trust. And while you're at it, make a couple copies for family and friends

Tips for Storing Digital Photos Backup to an External Hard Drive
Archiving photos to an external drive is easy and fast. It's also a reliable way to keep a backup of important memories. The best part? An external drive is portable and can connect to other computers for easy photo sharing. And they can usually store many more photos than a CD or DVD.
Tips for Storing Digital Photos Post Your Photos Online
Online photo albums are the best way to store and share your pictures on the Web. With Snapfish (a service of HP) you can share individual pictures or entire albums with friends and family, and even allow them to order prints of their favorite photos.

Ruby2 How to archive photos across multiple DVDs?? 3 Jan 7 2008, 11:33 AM EST by Kruszona
Thread started: Jan 4 2008, 4:52 PM EST  Watch
I have a large number of photos on my external hard drive, and would like to have a copy on DVD also. In the future, I will be sure to make a DVD backup as I go, but how do I copy all of my older photos onto multiple DVDs?? ...or can it even be done, without going through them a few a time?
