CD-sized Photo Calendars

Every year, I struggle to find holiday gifts for my parents and relatives who seem to have everything. A few years back, like many, I stumbled onto the idea of making a photo calendar. What makes this photo calendar a little unique is that it’s CD-sized.

It has all of the things that make a regular sized 12-month photo calendar personal. Since the photos are one per month, I can easily swap out a photo or two for each calendar without the project getting overwhelming. Then, everyone compares which photos are unique in their calendars on Christmas morning. It’s pretty fun.

Plus, I get a few additional benefits from small CD-sized calendars. Due to the size of the photos, they don’t have to be high-resolution and it minimizes any photo flaws (by either the photographer or the subject) but I still get the emotion and memories from the photo. A smaller calendar, the size of a CD case, means it is small enough to sit anywhere.




Additionally, the CD case flips back and doubles as a calendar stand so it doesn’t have to be hung on a wall.

I couldn’t find a template for a CD-sized calendar, so I created my own using PowerPoint. I ordered the CD jewel cases online. If you are interested in creating your own calendar, you can right click on the link below to save the template as a PowerPoint file.
