Clever Holiday Family Photo - A Wetpaint WIKI: HP Community
Some of you were looking for ideas for a great holiday family photo, so I thought I'd share mine. We staged the photo in front of the tree ... and then I realized that we were standing next to a family portrait we had taken about 7 years before. So, we rearranged ourselves to "match" the older family portrait so you could see how much we've changed! (Notice that I am now shorter than my son!).

Hints: For great lighting --don't take photos in full sun or with full darkness outside. I pulled the shade, turned on a few lights, and lit the tree. Be sure to use your red-eye flash since lighting will be a bit low, and get the camera close to the subjects (vs. further away and using the zoom) so the flash is effective. You want to balance the brightness level so you can still see the tree lights. Have fun!
