At 50 years old, by husband's wonderful, but always single, older sister met the love of her life. He proposed on her 50th birthday in August, and the wedding was in my backyard in September. She couldn't get a photographer on short notice,so family members brought digital cameras and I took shots with my HP R717.
I brought my photo printer and some nice 5x7 frames to the wedding. When I was done taking pictures, I popped my memory card in the printer, cropped, zoomed, took out red-eye, and printed some great pictures. I gave framed photos to the bride and groom, the matron of honor, and the parents of the bride. Then on a whim, other people put their memory cards in the printer and the bride and groom picked their favorite shots. A few of us filled a photo album (which was one of their weddings gifts) and gave it to them before they left.
Sometimes when you develop pictures later, you miss the moment. It was so fun to let people play with the printer- most of them had no idea that you could edit photos right on the touch screen. And the pictures turned out beautiful and were a great gift to be able to produce right on the spot.
