Creative Printing & Scanning (PC Smart's Sandbox)
What is Creative Printing & Scanning??????
by PC Smart
Creative Printing & Scanning is when you operate any printer/scanner in a manner that is probably not in the original owner's manual. It is the use of unusual media, such as scanning dimensional objects or printing on odd surfaces. Creative P&S can be used to create templates/patterns that will be utilized over and over in projects. In my opinion, it really should be considered its own art form . Over the years I have created many techniques and projects by pushing my printers and scanners to the absolute limits and beyond. However, it must be said: No printers or scanners have ever been harmed during my experiments. I practice safe technology at all times.
Check back in this section as I add some of the projects/techniques I have been working on....
Beware: Creative Printing & Scanning is not for the faint of heart....only those with a sense of artistic adventure need apply
For more examples of Creative P&S (and also my non-tech creative experiments), visit my art blog sandbox serendipity
(my home studio/craft room was named "the sandbox" by a friend of mine because she loves to come play with all my toys)

What is the oddest thing you have ever scanned? The strangest thing you have ever printed on?
For me that would be scanning cheerios floating in a bowl and printing on dryer sheets.....long, long story..... |

This is a very cool and fun idea. My niece would love to make these at one of her "girly" parties with her friends.
