Flat Stanley Project Poster

This is a fun way to tell your Flat Stanley adventuresFlat Stanley Project Poster - A Wetpaint WIKI: HP Community My niece asked me if I wanted to help her with her Flat Stanley project. She explained to me that she had a Flat Stanley who wanted to travel the world, and that she was going to do a report that told of his adventures.

What a fun project. I made Flat Stanley some different outfits, and sent him out on many trips. I took him to a rendezvous (re-enactment of the pre-1840 era where participants wore buckskins and prairie dresses, and lived in teepees and lien-to's). Flat Stanley met Parry Boone, a seventh generation descendant of Daniel Boone, who had a trading post with all sorts of period clothing and tools.

He also went to Mexico, Germany, Australia, and San Diego, California. Stanley returned with plenty of photos and exciting stories to tell. He even learned so much in Mexico, that he wrote his report in Spanish.

I created this poster in Power Point, adding in all the photos and the text as my niece told of the adventures. I printed it on 13x19 inch photo paper, and her teacher displayed it in the class room.

What you need:
  1. Digital camera to take photos
  2. Lots of friends/family to send Flat Stanley to, so he can travel the world
  3. 13 x 19 inch paper to print out the poster

Do it yourself:
  1. Create the poster in your favorite graphics program (I used Power Point)
  2. Add photos and text
  3. Print out the poster
  4. Watch your child beam as she takes the poster to school and is the envy of her classmates
