Halloween Costume Time
Lisa TuckerOctober 3, 2007
Well, it is the beginning of October, and we all know what that means – time to get ready for Halloween. As a non-crafty mom, this is a really difficult time of the year for me. While everyone else is frantically sewing and glue-gunning away, I’m searching around to find an inexpensive, yet creative costume that I can either purchase or put together with my limited skills. To make matters worse, my girls will likely change their minds six times about what they want to be between now and Halloween. Does anyone else have this issue?

The First 12 Months
Anne LeeSeptember 18, 2007
In the blink of an eye, my little baby became a full-fledged toddler. She is becoming more and more independent by the day and constantly tests her boundaries. Although I still think of her as my little baby, I realize she is growing up fast. I wanted to share one idea I did with my daughter to help keep track of her growth and development over the first 12 months ...

Use T-shirts to Create an Instant Team
Lori LorenzSeptember 14, 2007
At the last minute, a bunch of people from my neighborhood decided to support a local non-profit group by participating in a bowling tournament. Since our bowling wasn’t very good, we decided we should at least look good. In a half a day, we went from being a ragtag bunch of neighbors to looking like a real team! ...

When I got my first digital camera six or seven years ago, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. The only problem was, I was stuck on auto...

Goodbye to Clogged Printer Nozzles
Tom Hubbard August 24, 2007
Although I’ve been completely digital for over 7 years, my most nagging printer problem has been clogging. This clogging of the ink jet nozzles shows up as white streaks (banding) or totally missing colors in the prints. In the past, whenever I left my printer idle for more than a couple of days, I would spend countless hours and waste too much expensive ink trying to “unclog” the printer’s nozzles using the printer manufacturer’s cleaning routines ...

Using Your Camera's Manual Features
Cindy Maestas
August 20, 2007
Are you struggling to understand all the manual controls in your camera? What is aperture? Depth of field? ISO? White balance? I struggled with these controls too! I knew cameras wouldn't have these controls if they weren’t useful, but I certainly didn’t understand what to do with them. As a result of managing HP’s Digital Photography Center, I’ve learned a lot about these controls and how best to use them. I also learned that it was difficult to find easy to understand explanations of these controls on the web. Most of the information I found took a long time to read and was very technical and hard to understand. I wanted to create something that would explain these controls for the beginner – something that was easy to follow and was interactive and visual ...
