HP Mom Entrepreneur Grant Giveaway
Meet these Moms who have followed their entrepreneurial spirit and started their own businesses. Here are some innovative ideas on how promote a business using digital photography:
Tutus by TTonia Highers I used digital photos to take pictures of all my products and post on my website. I also used a digital photo for my business cards. http://www.tutusbyt.com/
FlattenMeMargo Redfern flattenme uses digital photography in many ways. Our award winning personalized storybooks are built off of digital images, rendered on HP computers, and printed on a HP Indigo. In order to promote our books by using our digital imagery, we created a line of e-cards. We send out e-cards to everyone who has purchased a book.

Dreemie PreemieKatrena Shirley I create scrapbook pages for babies that are premature and spend time in the NICU. Right now, they are graphics that I have created myself and use in the background. I would like to take pictures of a preemie and insert them in the pages. I belive this will help parents cope knowing there are other out there dealing with the same concerns they are about their child. www.DreemiePreemie.com

Erin Wilson
Digital photography is critical in the marketing of our business. We are currently running a marketing campaign that combines the digital photos we have taken of babies using our product and funny stories tying the design of our product to real life situations. The response has been overwhelming!

Styl-N & Profil-NCheryl Ellis
Good thing a picture can express 1000 words. When I started my in home business, I needed something more than just my voice. So coming up with the cover page did all my talking. When my organization help out with different community projects we take pictures with our clients and business partners. Having them also on our brochures makes them feel happy to, because they know that what we do not only helps the community but show who supports our cause. We showcase Barbers/Stylists and students who help our non-profit bloom for the fourth year and still growing.

KCMetroMoms.comCandy Tai One of the ways I currently use digital photography is to create screenshots of my social networking website, which is my business, and then have those digital prints formatted onto foam boards and laminated. I then use a fold-up easel to display the foam board at various community events to help showcase my website to local moms and other community members so that they can get an idea as to how the website is useful. It gives them a unique opportunity to see the most popular areas of the website without having to actually be on their computer!

Blessed Life PhotographyAbby Benedict I would use this gift to print out gallery wraps of my work, along with desk portraits, wall hangings and mounted prints - in order to have examples to show clients when they are ordering photographs from me.
