Math Addition Chart for 1st Graders

This is one in a series of personalized learning charts

Math Addition Chart for 1st Graders - A Wetpaint WIKI: HP Community

I have always had a passion for teaching and love to see the sparkle in a child's eye when they "get" a new concept. My nephew was struggling with his addition facts, so I decided to help out. I saw this as a perfect opportunity to create a project learning chart, personalized just for Adam, to help him memorize his addition facts.

Kids love to see pictures of themselves, so I created an addition facts learning chart for Adam, and printed it on 13x19 inch plain paper. I created the chart in Microsoft Power Point, personalized it with his name and photo, then printed it out on both sides of a page, then took it to Kinkos to be laminated. I printed addition facts 0-6 on one side and 7-12 on the other side. For a mere $4.00 I was able to make a difference in a child's self-esteem (not to mention elevating my status as favorite Aunt).

I gave him his personalized chart along with a dry-erase marker, and within two weeks, he was proud to have mastered his addition facts.

Sorry for the HUGE images, but re-sizing is not the forte of this site. Although, it's easy on the eyes for we baby boomers.

If you are a Microsoft Power Point user and would like a copy of this file (so easy to drop in your kid's photo and name) I've attached it below. And, by the way, I have a "chick" version in purple and pink for the little princess in your life.
