How I made a Customized Mother’s Day Card

by Aravinth
MothersDay 1 This Mother’s Day I decided to do something different for my Mom. And different it was. In less than 20 minutes I could create and print a unique customized card from the HP Creative Studio.

Though this elaborate card looks difficult to create, it is actually quite simple. All I had to do was keep two HP Brochure papers ready (8.5 x 11 inch) and all the pictures I wanted to include in the card.

Several of the special moments I’ve shared with my mom are captured in pictures. Incorporating them in the card, added more meaning—both to the pictures and the card. I simply followed the instructions given on the site and voila! There was my special card for my special Mom!
You can also surprise your mom with a unique Mother’s Day card. This is how.

I really like the cards in the HP Creative Studio -- they're fun, colorful and very thoughtful. Because I liked all the cards they had on display, it took me a while to choose the one special card for my Mom. Once you’ve decided on your choice, click the “Continue” button to load your project. Then move onto steps mentioned below.

Follow the simple steps “1, 2, 3” at the top of the project window.
Screenshot 3 The first step is to select the theme of the card from the options available to you for your particular project.
Screenshot 4 In the second step, you start adding your pictures and text in the assigned spaces.

Click the gray area that says, “Click here to add a photo”. You'll then be asked to browse your hard drive to select a photo to add to the project. There are size limits, so if you want to use a photo that's larger than 1 MB, be sure to resize it first before loading in this step.

Click on the space which reads “Click here to enter your message” to start typing your message. You can also select from pre-loaded greetings.
Select the font, color, and type size you want for your text, then hit the orange “done with edit” button.
When you're done, save your page.
Step three

Print your very own customized Mother’s Day card.

Tips for Printing

  1. After printing the first page, allow it dry completely before printing the second page. Only after page 2 is dry, try folding the card in half.
  2. For best results use the paper (quality) suggested on the site.

What a lovely card -- and how thoughtful of you to share how to make it.
Your mom is very lucky to have you for a son...
