Tip 1:Scanning shadow-free
Most scanner lids will "float" a bit above the scanner bed if you scan items that are too bulky for the lid to close normally. This allows light to come in from the edges, causing shadows that may ruin the scan. It’s an easy fix though—just put your bulky item on the scanner, close the lid as best you can, and cover the whole scanner with a cloth or towel. Easy as that, no more shadows.
