Just for a Smile
Liz McCoyMarch 28, 2008
We had so much fun this weekend, despite the fact that the rain brought our egg-hunting indoors. Today, no big idea in mind, I just couldn't resist printing some pics to sit on my desk, just to keep my daughter's big blue eyes and smile right by my side, for another rainy Monday ...

Halloween Costume Time
Lisa TuckerOctober 3, 2007
Well, it is the beginning of October, and we all know what that means – time to get ready for Halloween. As a non-crafty mom, this is a really difficult time of the year for me. While everyone else is frantically sewing and glue-gunning away, I’m searching around to find an inexpensive, yet creative costume that I can either purchase or put together with my limited skills. To make matters worse, my girls will likely change their minds six times about what they want to be between now and Halloween. Does anyone else have this issue?

At the last minute, a bunch of people from my neighborhood decided to support a local non-profit group by participating in a bowling tournament. Since our bowling wasn’t very good, we decided we should at least look good. In half a day, we went from being a ragtag bunch of neighbors to looking like a real team! ...

My life is just too busy to think ahead on buying gifts, and yet my friends and family are important enough to really deserve something special. I have always thought calendars were great gifts and I always included all date that might be important to the receiver on the calendar date squares.. I used to make these calendars by hand for hubby, son's and friends.. recently I was able to make my first Calendar at an online photo center and WOW, my 'idea of a what a calendar should include was so professionally done.. now it is known to me that calendars will be an annual gift to my loved ones.. they can even receive mutiple calendars.. one for all dates important, but not their's personally.. to VERY personalized calendars of their life involvement activities, cheerleading schedule, soccer match schedule, a mother's life duties, a father's golfing dates and times .. CALENDARS the endless source of Gifting!
