| Sebastian Copeland Sebastian Copeland is on the Board of Directors of Global Green USA, the US affiliate of Mikhail Gorbachev’s environmental NGO Green Cross International. Copeland graduated Summa Cum Laude from UCLA (’86). His work has appeared in hundreds of publications worldwide, including GQ, Marie Claire, The Face, Cosmopolitan and Vanity Fair, and National Geographic Explorer. Copeland was awarded “Professional Photographer of the Year” for his book Antarctica: The Global Warning from the 2007 International Photography Awards. The launch of Antarctica has led to numerous shows in France, Germany, Italy and the US including at the United Nations and the Council on Foreign Relations, and upcoming museum shows at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA and the San Luis Obispo Art Museum in San Francisco. His wide-ranging success as a celebrity portrait photographer has enabled him to focus on his passion for the environmental issues and celebrity activism. In 2007 Copeland traveled with his cousin, Orlando Bloom, to Antarctica to enlist his aid in promoting the importance of protecting this fragile ecosystem. Sebastian has addressed audiences at the UN, The World Affairs Council, the General Assembly on climate in New Orleans in front of President Gorbachev, the George Eastman House, the Google and Apple headquarters among others. He has appeared many times on television including a half hour interview by Larry King for CNN. Sebastian Copeland currently resides in Los Angeles and drives a hybrid. |
