| Based on the large plastic Santa Clauses and the assortment of red and green wrapping paper that I see in the aisles of my local drug store, the holiday season is in full force. Malls are playing cheery carols, people are stringing up twinkly lights in their windows and, best of all, holiday party invitations are rolling in. While I love a good party, I dread having to come up with gifts for the host or hostess. But then I realized that the perfect gift was sitting right in my basement: my home brewed beer. |
| | A plain bottle of beer would make a fine gift, but I decided that if I'm going to get dressed up to go to a party, my beer should get dressed up, too. To accomplish this, I used a vintage beer label template from HP's Activity Center. The labels themselves are gorgeous, and the template allows you to customize them and add your own personal touch. Once I got the label just how I wanted it, I printed it on 8 1/2 x 11 label paper. The instructions on the Activity Center don't mention this, but I applied a clear spray finish to the labels before cutting them out to keep the ink from bleeding should condensation form on the bottles. |
| | | Now, the stress of coming up with holiday party gifts is completely gone. My beer is brewed and my bottles are labeled and ready. Holiday parties, here I come! |
