sandbox serendipity (my art blog)

I wanted to add some variations to the Warhol Scanning technique to show how it can be used in various ways.... I took my avatar image (which was a combo of Warhol scanning and the stamp filter on elements) and created a quad image. Then I laid four squares behind the image to create a simple version of the classic Warhol image. I am actually creating a "family portrait" for our rec room that will be similar. I am taking our head shots and laying colors behind a transparency print (for a layered look) and matting them in a long frame. For those who were wondering about my avatar - yes, this is really me, albeit me with a bit of dark makeup from halloween. I was a "desperate housewife" with teased hair, white face and dark eyes. The original photo is in the 2006 Halloween album on my blog.
