I have an HP Photosmart R967 digital camera. But I fear it has died. I am now thinking of what type of camera to replace it. I was thinking about an SLR, but that adds more complication to my life. So, does anyone have a good suggestion for a camera that will take good pictures of my grandchildren, scenery, mountains, portraits, and so forth. I want no less than 12 mp.

Now my camera is charging, but the card is locked. HP has no online service to help me get it unlocked. I know the things that can cause it to be locked, but I can't make it unlock. Can anyone help me? MSandy

Has anybody had a problem or solution to double sided printing using Windows 7 (64 bit) I can print normally right up to the automatic double sided print and it no longer works. Single sided only unless I specify rught or left side or manual and then I have to flip the pages myself now

Hi there! I enjoy looking at the projects, people here are very creative. I have found a nice holiday card, but I have to make it and print it right away, while online. How can I save the card to print more later? Am I missing something? CJSM12

Every time I attempt to print to a printable CD, the HP Sol. Cen. opens and says it is installing the CD Printable software; it hangs at 3% (about 30 times now), and when I attempt to click on the choice of CD template, evreything IMMEDIATELY shuts down, everything except the printer itself. Probably, I'm doing something ungeekish, but I can't figure out what. Help would be MUCH appreciated.

I can print on cotton fabric mounted on freezer paper in a breeze, but it does not come out permanent and washes off easily. This is a real problem for me, does anyone know of how to make it permanent - especially after it has been printed.

Fabric has 'sizing' on it when new. Do a pre-wash to remove the sizing as it can prevent ink, or paint, or even iron-on transfers from properly adhering to the fabric.

I use fabric in my printer with freezer paper. After I print the fabric and the ink is dry, I iron over the fabric again for 3 minutes. The heat will set the ink into the fabric fibers. Wait 24 hours before washing or wetting the ink. Works better than iron-on transfer paper.

One option is Avery label sheets. You'd have to cut them out afterward with an exacto knife. OR you could buy a 'Create a Sticker' by Xyron They cost around 20 dollars. Find them at craft stores, and department stores. Great for items up to 5 inches wide.

I make a monthly calendar with pictures on top and the month on the bottom, so it's 2 sided. I went to get it binded and while I waited I looked at Staples calendars(to be printed). I just loved the weight and look of the paper they use. They wouldn't tell me anything about it. I have always used 67lb card stock which isn't very good for picture quality but the ink doesn't show thru from side to side. Now I want to find the right kind of paper or better paper to use to make my calendars better.

"I do these every year for my family... I make family calendars. Print calendar on one side and pics on the other. STAPLES sells their own brand of "Photo Supreme double sided matte paper. It works great. I just bought the package of 100 sheets for about $21. They have a 50 sheet pack but I needed the larger one. I print the paper and then I have my own binding machine but I am sure you can get them to punch holes pretty reasonable. Hope this helps....note- the first year I made these, I gave my brother his at breakfast in a restaurant and the lady at the next table asked me what company made it for me. I was so proud to tell her that I made it myself... " I was wondering what program do you use to create your calendars? I am trying smart draw but I am wondering if there is a better one out there.

Hi all, I am new to this site, actually just joined 5 minutes ago. I was wondering if some of you could share your favorite calendar making programs. I have been trying smart draw and just realized I wasn't doing my calendars for double sided. Does anyone have any suggestions for a great, easy calendar making program? Thank you for your suggestions.

Hi there..... Would any of you good folks happen to know of anybody that sells MICR toner that is compatible with the HP CB435A Toner Cartridge used in my P1005 printer? (I do a fair amount of check printing on my printer, and I also refill my own cartridges). What can I say? (I don't like to spend more money than I have to!). Any suggestions?

I have an HP Photosmart 5280. It has a tray to hold a printable CD/DVD but I can't find any software that recognises this device. All my printing attempts have lead to numerous errors to do with size and scale of the image. I've gone through most of a box of 25 CD's and haven't got one to print properly with any of my software.
What software do others use?

We have used this same printer with great results. We use it with a Mac and Roxio. This software has, under its "extras" a CD designer for CD labels, boxes, etc. We get beautiful prints on our CD's as long as we use the original cartridge. Other generic cartridges wash out the image. I hope this info. will help you, Regards, Jerry

I have inherited a HP Deskjet F335 All in One printer/scanner/copier for my classroom. Unfortunately, the donater did not supply the program CD that loads the programming into my computer. If anyone has a spare or know where I can acquire this CD, I would greatly appreciate it. My computer graphics students will appreciate it, too.

"Go to the HP website. Look under printers and drivers, do a search for your printer and you can download the program and drivers for free. Shannon" Thanks Shannon, I haven't even thought about doing that. It gets hectic teaching high school kids that are after the teacher for everything except their laundry. I will take your suggestion and get right on it. Again, thank you, Joyce Snow

For my parents' 25th wedding anniversary, I scanned photos of their life together, from when they first started dating up through all the years that my brother, sister and I spent torturing them. I took those digital images and made a video slide show, which I set to music and burned to DVD. I also gave copies of the DVD to other people in my family. It was a great gift to give, and one that I watched and enjoyed many times, but when my Dad died, it truly became one of my most prized possessions.
When someone you love passes away, it's important to have things that remind you of them, but it's also important to have a way to share that person with others in your life. When I have kids, they won't have the honor of meeting my Dad, but with thanks to this DVD, and countless other photographs, they will know him and see the kind of father and husband he was.

Hi, I too shared a similar situation. He was a nieghbor that didn't want to go to an old folks home. the journey was with a used digital camera for the last couple years of his life. I didn't take many but the one's I did put together a slide with music presentation for his memories and for someone who never had a computer until 6 months after his passing. I did well, but the process did me even better I now can celebrate his 96 years on earth, share memories with nieghbors and friends. I always had a heart camera my whole life but digital photo's let me share my heart camera and heal my sadness of loss.
I am sorry for your loss, but grateful for your sharing. Warm regards Mistybluetwo

I am trying to make some business cards for her using her photos, I have the Avery 8879 business card stock but it is jamming up my printer. and the aglinment is right on target for the first 2 cards then it gets way off by the time it gets to the bottom. Does anyone know what setting to use to fix these problems.

HELP! I'm trying to create DVDs for a class reunion this Saturday and am finding that even though my picture I added is in color, the DVDs are only printing in black and white! Everything else prints in color, I can't figure it out! I have an HP Photosmart D7560 and am using the HP Photosmart Essentials 3.5. I even tried printing one of the basic thems and it still comes out in black and white. I'm completely stumped.
