Cookbook....
Nov 21 2007, 10:44 AM EST This is the most amazing thing....I LOVE this idea and can't wait to get started. Cooking is such a passion of mine, I have been saving recipes for years, and its now time to pass them down to my 3 daughters. What a great way to do this. Thanks so much for the idea.!! 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Cookbook....
Nov 23 2007, 10:35 AM EST Thanks for your comment. I hope you do try the cookbook project. It's incredibly easy to do with the Activity Center project. (By the way: My sisters are really excited and have asked me to create copies of the cookbook for them, too.) I hope you'll share your cookbook here. I'd love to see how you personalize the pages. Take care, Angela Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Cookbook....
Aug 22 2008, 7:15 PM EDT I am trying to create an heirloom cookbook for my three sisters and my daughter of my late Mother's many favorite recipes. I am in possession of her hand written recipes and want to have each page with the recipe in her handwriting as a watermark background and I'll type out her recipe on top of that. I'm using the program Publisher and each page I make I want a differnet watermark naturally but as I create each page it won't let me change that watermark or if it does, it changes the previous one! I'm a new member of HP Community and pardon me if I'm using the wrong format or not asking the appropriate questions. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! I've had this on the back burner for years now and wanted to complete it by this Christmas for gifts. Thank you SO much. Gayle Young. (kallmeyounger) Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Cookbook....
Aug 27 2008, 1:08 PM EDT @kallmeyounger I love your idea. I'm not a Microsoft Publisher expert by any means. But I did find the following tip on the Microsoft Office Online website: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/publisher/HP012299551033.aspx Add a different watermark to a set of pages When your publication uses only one master page and you add a watermark to that master page, the watermark appears on every page of your publication. To add a watermark that appears on selected pages only, place the text or picture on the publication pages instead of on the master page, and then send the picture or text box to the back. To add a different watermark to a set of pages, such as a chapter or a book signature, create different master pages, insert the appropriate watermark into each master page, and then apply each master page to the appropriate range of publication pages. You can also add a watermark across a two-page master page. Find links to more information about master pages in the See Also section. Tip If a watermark is placed behind other objects on the page, the objects that are hiding it may be opaque. To make an opaque object transparent, click the object to select it (if the object is a table, select the entire table), and then press CTRL+T. If the object is opaque, it becomes transparent; if the object is already transparent, it becomes white. ------------end Otherwise, my best guess would be to create a separate document for each recipe, which would allow you to create one unique watermark for each recipe page. A bit clumsy to be sure, but I think it might work. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
