Great craft ideas for saving the enviroment
Apr 21 2008, 8:02 PM EDT
I am always looking for great crafts that don't use more resources unnecessarily as being conscious of my carbon footprint is something I have really started to worry about over the past years. Keep them coming! Do you find this valuable?

In our house, we save anything that may be used as a craft/school project! We reuse boxes, cartons, packing materials and more...everyone is 'trained' to ask "can I reuse this?" before it hits the trash. check out this site for more ideas http://craftersgogreen.com/ . It was started by a fabulous craft designer, Barbara Matthiessen, who was looking for answers after the lead scare in toys. She has grandchildren and wanted them to have a world where crafting was not toxic. Do you find this valuable?

Thanks PC! I have started a website www.craftersgogreen.com that has articles, links and projects all with a green core. I am having some technical issues with the site right now so the shopping cart is not working but; if you want some of the instruction pdf files you can email me and I will sned them out. Ever since the first Earth Day I have been an avid environmentalist and having small grandkids has spurned me on to encourage and help others make green and safe toys. I would love for anyone who wants information to visit and those that have information to post. Thank you and Happy Earth Day! Do you find this valuable?
